SF3Zd52D @PMTeam@ZWO : Also, an extremely important functionality that is still missing for Autorun and Plan is center after drift - it is crucial, because, in the case of a prolonged session, if they are clouds for example for an hour or two, when the clouds disappear the target is no longer centered.

possi Still not resolved is this nasty start screen rotating error on my ipads. First landscape (horizontal) mode with a sky object in red, then it rotates to the side with an image of the ASIAIR plus and "enter device", next scrren is your APO telescope which rotates upside down, then there is a screen to connect on of my two ASIAIRs (still upside down). an the it enters finally the "as easy as 1-2-3" screen (upside down. Then you have to hard stop the app and restart another time the whole APP with 4 screens to get it right, or you turn your whole ipad 180° around. I have never seen such an stupid start of an app. I would request to have an option to disable all the start screens and go directly in the app. Same when I change to my other ASIAIR - no questions needed.

possi My other recommodation would be an automatic temperature coefficient calculation. after some nights and some dozends AF procedures the EAF (with temperature sensor) should know the right focus position depending on the temperature. Should be easy to implement and would be very helpful.

My last wish is the maximum AF step size - in the moment limited to max. 200. I use a Planewave CDK17 and a Celestron RASA36 with the ZWO EAF, to adapt them to these big telescopes I built a toothed belt drive with very fine transmission for high precision. I need a AF step size of 1000 or at least 500 AF step size for a proper parabolic curve.

I have a request for the EAF controls to be expanded, I would like to see a custom focus interval be added, with the ability to time it based on exposure amount, or a custom time interval versus a set list of numbers to choose.

azskyguy Plate solves for polar alignment still don't work. Have to use the All Sky method. Logs have been sent.

In the release notes for 2.3 it said the image anomaly reported had been fixed. It isn't. Last night imaging I got a corrupted half frame. Once that happens all subsequent frames will be bad, and that ends the imaging session unless I reboot. Please fix this. I've only seen it in the 2600MC Air Camera.

I plug it into the power input on the 2600MC Air, and a cable from the camera powers the mount. Most nights it works fine. It did tonight. The power supply is excellent. But I get these random corrupted images. And it ruins the session.

I'd also like to know why plate solves fail during polar alignment, unless I am using your all sky method.

Cable from the camera ASIAIR powers mount? Is this camera integrated ASIAIR somehow different from separate unit? because as far as I know, it has been years now recommended that there should be separate power bricks for ASIAIR and mount. That's because mount have spikes in its needs of juice and that can cause funny things in your system if it is fed from single power unit.

Hara Yes, on this board ZWO recommends mount can be powered by 2600MC Air. Perhaps that has changed with more experience with the integrated camera. 9 nights out of ten it works fine, but when it fails it fails for the rest of the night unless camera is rebooted.

Sure it can be done, but are you sure that it is actually recommended? Power peak from mount can cause lack of juice in ASIAIR and many times does, so mount should not suck its power from ASIAIR.

I really wouldn't power your mount from any of the ASIAIR models.

Corsair I would love to argue with you about this all night but let me quote from the 2600MC Air manual:

"The camera has multiple DC power ports. You can choose any one
as the power input port, while the remaining DC interfaces can be used as
power output ports, powering devices such as the dew heater strap or
mount."

I also read forum posts where ZWO said a good way to power the AM3 mount (which is what I have) is connecting it to the camera power ports, so that is what I have done.

If the issue is caused by power, I doubt it would be so rare. As I've stated, most nights it works. I think there is a recurring software bug. We'll see what ZWO finds.

azskyguy I'll also quote from Peter Zelinka's review of the 2600MC Air camera:
"ZWO recommends powering the AM5 through one of the power ports on the 2600 Air. This would allow you to use a single battery and power all of your equipment. I've been using this approach for the past few nights and it works great! "
Of course I power an AM3 which has a lesser power draw.

azskyguy Those power ports seem to be simple pass-through ports - almost like using a splitter cable.

Only that review says that it is recommended somewhere (where?), all other references say that it is possible. All that is possible, is not wise to do in real life. It is not necessarily very usual situation. You see the symptoms only when there is need for power simultaneously in AIR and mount and AIR has some critical task to do.

ZWO gives the following wording on the Asiair webpage: 4 DC output for you to connect [...], mount (depending on power requirement).
There is no need to be too conservative about that. Some mount will work without any issue and other will not. I have powered my HEQ5 and Ioptron CEM40 through the ASIair for years without issue but I did have issue with an EM400 mount so I powered it independently.

Hara As you can see from the ZWO response below, it is a software, not a power issue. It does not appear in my experience, to relate to any simultaneous power requests to the camera and the mount. As the manual says that power output of the camera can power a mount I think at this point that is the final word. Do you have a 2600MC Air camera and any experience at all of seeing the problem first hand? If I required 2 power supplies it would have been suggested by ZWO.
