I just finished to downgrade the Asiair App and firmware has suggested but unfortunatly the EAF still remain un recognized and EAF-1 option on EAF setup still disappear. Only None option is present on EAF setup. Even EAF is directly connected to Asiair than it work without problem. It seems that boths 294 MC Pro USB ports have been demaged after the latest upgrade.
Any futher idea ?

I update my AsiAir Plus to the newer version and after that I start to have EAF connection problems. EAF is connected trought 2.0 USB cable to ASI294 MC Pro and ASI 294 MC Pro is connected to ASIAIR Plus trough 3.0 USB as described on ZWO manual. This is the connections that I normally use from more than 3 years.
After the upgrade ASI app start to show that EAF is not recognized and it must be set manually. Than I proceed to configure the EAF manually and EAF recognized again but after several mimutes the same error pop up gain and this happend again, again, again. Today I tried to change 2.0 USB cable between EAF and 294 but after few tentative, now the EAF is not recognized at all. Then I check the EAF with wire remote control and it work. Than I tried to connect the EAF direct to the ASIAIR Plus bypassing the 294 and in this way the EAF start again to be recognized and appear on ASI AIR App options. Unfortunatelly when EAF is connected to ASIAIR Plus directly the ASI AIR USB port used to connect USB memory pen is now no more available. Is there any other people that are facing similar problem after the latest update ?

peter.flood I noticed the same thing, with two ASIAirs (OK, too many toys), for the first time ever. I am in cottage country with few wi-fi signals around. Had problems reconnecting standing next to the ASIAirs!

PMTeam@ZWO after this update I'm facing issues like never before. Mainly regarding to my usb recording device, Asiair pro (my version) is with many bugs like file header array corrupted files, I even lost one entire night of good imaging due to this. It's also changing and swapping files in a weird way e.g. I've done images of NGC3372 last year and the images are not of it anymore. Last night I did some darks and they appear as if they were the NGC 3372 files. And many many other bugs... So that's why I'm here. Please fix this. I'm not so confident in order to perform a downgrade in my system. I beg you to release another update fixing this serious issue (probably) regarding to all Asiair Pro owners just like me.

I'm using an ASI2600MC Air, but sometimes the Wi-Fi gets cut off in the middle of shooting, even when I have an iPad right next to it, and it's difficult to reconnect.
When I checked, I found that the iPad was connected to the ASI2600MC Air via Wi-Fi, but it seemed that the ASIAIR app was no longer able to recognize that it was connected via Wi-Fi.

hidekazu.takahashi I am having same problem since last upgrade. I use AA+ on my ipad. System worked until last upgrade. Now, early in a session, usually during Polar alignment, the WiFi disconnects and my home WiFi takes over. I am unable to restore AA+ WiFi and the app shuts down. I go to iPad settings to switch back to AA+, but even though iPad says I am connected to AA+, the AA+ app says I am not connected. When WiFi disconnects, it also ends connection to my mount, main camera and guide camera. I am not able to restore those connections because app says I am not connected to AA+ WiFi. Five nights wasted. Don’t know how to get past WiFi disconnect problem.

I have seen these issues too, and noted them. The other night my laptop could not connect to the Air, so moved it within 2 feet of the camera and it finally connected when I switched my laptop WiFi off and back on.

WiFi is not good, and it needs to be fixed. I just can't count on it, and without a network connector on the camera it's WiFi or nothing.

Hello,
I’m a new ASIAIR user and I’ve noticed a couple of limitations in the current polar alignment procedure.
1. There’s no option to skip a specific point during alignment.
2. It’s also not possible to choose the direction in which the mount rotates (e.g., towards the east instead of the west).

These features would be especially useful for users who shoot from balconies or locations with partial sky visibility due to obstacles.

Would it be possible to consider adding these enhancements in a future update?

I am having connection problems with the eaf module.: this causes the internet connection of the asiair plus module to drop. I am forced to reboot several times until the eaf module is recognized and then I can connect all the other devices. Before the update everything was perfect. I hope you solve it as soon as possible. thanks

This is usually caused by a bad/cheap USB cable, especially the ones that came packaged with it.

Alternatives? Touptek AstroStation (not ready yet), StellarMate (arguably worse choice), AstroBerry (no longer maintained). Want to use NINA on a Mele-PC... Go for it. I use ASIAir and for all it faults, works (mostly) everytime. To be honest, I've lost more nights to NINA, a bad Windows driver and no Internet to fix it.

I tried with 2 different cables but the problem persists: the firmware is updated to the latest version. I noticed that the problem occurs in 3 USB ports while in 1 (3.0) it works perfectly. I will therefore always leave it connected to that one.

If you are not using the rotator, and are on Android. Delete the app then download and side load ver 1.9.2. If you side load, you will not get updates unless you ask for them. Running 1.9.2 and no issues including flips.

V5HL6Ecz Hmm. That’s pretty weird. From experience though I know the default cables have their issues. I’ve replaced all of my cables for CableMatters and StarTech USB cables and I’ve had zero issues since then. Before that connections always dropped when I somehow touched the cabling.

ZWO, PLEASE fix the crazy rotation problem with the CAA. The 360/180 degree options are both a disaster with constant cable tangles and mount collisions. There’s no way I’m going to trust the current CAA to operate unattended. I’ve already had one USB B socket smashed on my filter wheel and last night an unexpected pier collision resulted in the CAA unscrewing my filter wheel so it, together with my 6200MM camera, crashed to the ground. We can’t keep putting up with this! The most recent issue was caused by a required 30 degree rotation, but for some reason the CAA decided to rotate 330 degrees in the opposite direction; why does it do this?? PLEASE fix the issues and delete the silly 360/180 degrees options and replace them with a simple +/- 90 degree rotation relative to a user defined zero position. Every other rotator on the market has this facility, I believe.
