Yes, that was supposedly fixed but it's back. Also, meridian flips not working well. After a flip can't guide. If I move the mount mainly to the west, I can guide. Almost certainly a software issue. Logs sent but no reply.

New Update is crashing the ASI2600MC Air when trying to go into Plan mode. Happens now on both of my 2600s. Was not happening in yesterday only after the update. Tried to reset it and the app but to no avail. Others are also seeing it and my equipment are bricks now. Please advise and/or give us the option to roll back and stay there.

@ZWO: it is high time you accepted that 2.4.2 is unfit for use, and gave users an option to roll back, PERMANENTLY - while you fix your issues and test it properly before attempting another release.

Otherwise ASIAir is dead and we will have no choice but to walk away in about 10 days time. When that happens people usually do not come back.

Another botched update.

Platesolving from saved images just freezes app. Using the search feature in the atlas just stuck on loading tonight's best. Is there any QA done for these updates? or do you push to main and hope for the best

@ZWO: it is high time you accept that 2.4.2 is not fit for purpose and re-release 2.3.3 with NO TIME LIMIT, while you fix your issues and test it properly before attempting another update.

I had a new chance last night to do another run with 2.4.2. I decided to reinstall 2.4.2 with camera, EAF etc attached on the SQA55 and the results were much better. I managed to get some 180s subs of M16 done. However I did notice that when being in Preview and trying to select a target, Tonight’s Best appears but the wait cursor keeps on rolling and never gives a result. It’s not possible to enter M16 manually and slew to the target. What I could do however was go to the catalog and manually lookup the target and then do a goto. That worked fine enough. But trying to enter M16 in Preview just was not possible. It could be that the lack of internet connectivity was the issue. I installed 2.4.2 without having the ASIAIR connected to internet (in station mode). I’m in a hotel which has terrible internet connectivity. So I installed the update over 5G but internet wasn’t present through WiFi.

Long time user of ZWO products, much $$$ invested. My Asiair Pro is now totally unworkable after this latest update. I get so few cloudless nights and now this. Frustration beyond belief!

EAF issues, 5v USB version - Random going out of focus with moves, flips - out of focus enough that the auto focus routine can't correct
Spinning wheel when entering catalog - never ends.
Frequent complete lockup of the app (IOS iPhone)
What has developed is now the Asiair does not see the mount - a EQ6r Pro, NON USB version.

None of this was an issue prior to updating to this new firmware.

Is there a way for me to downrev?

ZWO - You are seriously harming your product allowing this stuff to occur. The Astronomy community is largely word of mouth....

To downgrade an Apple device you need to use TestFlight. Remember:
For Apple - to disable auto updates - you can only do this for all apps via the App Store app. However, if you install the ASIAIR App via TestFlight, I think you can disable app updates for just the ASIAIR App in TestFlight.

For Android - to disable auto updates - you go to the Play Store app, then go to the ASIAIR App product page, tap on the triple dot menu in the top right of the screen, then untick the auto update box.

You need a Silicon Mac, a USB cable, and an app "iMazing".

@PMTeam@ZWO could you please re-release version 2.4.9 on TestFlight? The current build is set to expire on September 22 at 05:24 (local time), which is cutting it a bit too close, and it also falls right in the middle of a possible session for some of us!

Upgraded to v2.4.2 on asiair plus . Having an issue with live stacking . Using at115edt 700mm focal length on losmandy gm811 mount, main camera asi533mc pro,WO 50mm guide scope with asi camera. Been using this setup for several months now without issue. After update polar align was .3 and guiding was under 1 rms when live stacking not working rms .50 so really good. Used flats, darks and bias. 2 minute subs. started out great was doing stacks of 9 or 10 frames looked great. Then first frame great second stacked and looked ok but from then on starts started to trail. This went on the rest of the night I then gave up and quit...
Been using asiair live stacking for years now without issue until now.
Anyone else seeing this

Be aware that you could wait for at least two weeks for a response from ZWO.

Did you happen to take screenshots or a screen recording on your device when this was happening? Because that would help as well.

mjcaiken Many have reported these problems. Like you, ASIair worked great for a few years, but last several updates have been filled with problems. In my case plate solving problems and complete failure to guide after a meridian flip. I'm not sure why the software has gone rotten after years of good, reliable service.

I hate to but am considering other options. I can't understand how software is released (twice) where meridian flips don't work. It's a pretty basic requirement for astro software. Does anyone test the software?

Hopefully, they will straighten it out before customers start to leave. A reputation is a terrible thing to waste.

With ZWO there are many examples demonstrating they are not testing every change rigorously.

“Properly” means identifying a sequence where the previous version would fail, repeatably; identifying the cause, correcting ONLY that and retesting to confirm that change has actually fixed the issue. And testing it functions as expected for each parameter over its full range of values, as well.

FYI: I do unguided EAA with my C8 SCT with f/ 6.3 Reducer and ASI294MC Pro camera on a HEQ5 Pro mount so do Live Stacking in Live Mode. I'm still on app/firmware 2.1-10.74

I have both an ASI2600MC Air and ASI2600MM Air, currently unuseable due to inability to plate solve or keep a guide star for more than 2 seconds- - "star lost - looping" since uploading 2.4.2. I’m using android phone app and cannot understand during set-up why I’m unable to go back to an earlier software/firmware version which I can upload but the app insists I upgrade to the newer version, it’s some sort of weird loop. So, two expensive cameras and no clue as to soving the problem. A question on this forum and answer from staff were unhelpfull and did not address the issue.
What I do know is that prior to installing the new software the cameras were working beautifully.

Equipment set-up details:
Android S21 phone, v. 15.
(also tried on Apple iPadOS v. 18.6.2, 9th gen).
Astro-physics 1200gto CP4 mount.
Tak FSQ106 EDXIII.

I would also be happy to receive a copy of ASIAIR 2.3.3 for ISO, as I unfortunately only came across the ZWO products later and unfortunately everything only works for me with the testflight version.

Kevin_A What happened, how did this get to be 200? How to update our existing camera to get this? Is it just a function of ASIAIR? or the camera itself. I remember you posting the 198 recommendation.
