This is a link to get Testflight. I have it as explained above I'm not seeing the version of ASIAIR you are seeing.

azskyguy can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

The link I posted isn't the link to get TestFlight. It is the link to join the particular Beta Test within the TestFlight App.

So, on your Apple device, tap on that link and it should take you to the ASIAIR page for 2.3.3/2.4.9.

Although you may need to uninstall 2.4.4 and potentially tap on Stop Testing for 2.4.4.

Thanks for responding... I'm in the beta test group. 2.4.4 (which doesn't work very well) is a beta.

azskyguy so try what I said to do then.

Open up TestFlight. Scroll down to the bottom of the ASIAIR page. Tap on stop testing. And, if it doesn't remove the app, make sure you delete the App.

Now tap on the link I posted in my previous post and join it. Tell me if you now see 2.3.3 / 2.4.9 as an option.

Something else to note. When reverting to an earlier version of the ASIAir app, make sure you have also reset the firmware in the ASIAir itself.

While the ASIAir app will not work with firmware earlier than the corresponding version, it WILL work with later firmware.

For example:

It does not allow APP versions 2.4.x to run with with the FIRMWARE 12.05 from the app version 2.3.3; BUT

It DOES allow APP version 2.3.3 to run with the FIRMWARE 12.55 from the app version 2.4.2.

This is a potential trap - for example the meridian flip issue - it's the firmware which performs the meridian flips, not the app. Firmware 12.55 is buggy, while firmware 12.05 performs meridian flips OK.

So when you are reverting to an earlier version of the app, make sure you reset the firmware as well.

The process for downgrading - at least from what I've seen - has always been to:
reset the ASIAIR first using the existing app,
then once the reset is done dont proceed with firmware update yet - just close the ASIAIR App,
uninstall the app from your device,
shutdown your device (not the ASIAIR),
turn your device back on,
install the version of the ASIAIR App you want,
reconnect your device to ASIAIR Wifi,
launch ASIAIR App,
proceed with firmware upgrade

I honestly do the above even when installing a firmware update.

Thanks.. I'm not sure I got anywhere... reset firmware to factory version... then ran 2.49. Scope said it needed to update firmware (again) and wound up with 41.63, which is where I was before I updated firmware. Meanwhile, Meridian flips are still dodgy.

Tomorrow I will receive a device to control my rigging and equipment. I am sorry to be leaving ASIair plus after several years, but after last night, when I had problems with the PA, I have had enough.

Oh well. Hope the control system you've bought - whatever it is - works for you.

Let us know if you're going to get rid of your ASIAIR. One of us might want it.

Corsair I have already tried installing an older version.
Every time I open it, I get an update message, which annoys me.
I have a lot of equipment from ZWO and it works well. Sometimes I find better prices, but I can't use them with ASIair.
That's what depresses me the most. I'm going back to N.I.N.A., which I used before.
At the moment, I'm not going to sell it. I have to learn N.I.N.A. all over again, and maybe then.

When you said you tried installing an older version did you (1) follow the right steps to downgrade both the firmware of the ASIAIR and the app version on your device AND (2) turn off auto update of the ASIAIR App on your device (you Android/Apple device controls this)?

Because from what you've said you didn't do step (2).

Well I haven't had any issues with 2.4.3 - 12.55 (App running on a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra running Android 15), HEQ5 Pro Mount, C8 SCT with f/6.3 Reducer, ASI294MC Pro camera cooled to 0°C doing unguided EAA (so Live Mode for Live Stacking).

This means good polar alignment is key for me since I only rely on mount tracking.

The ASIAIR is, relatively, a simple device which comes with limitations that you have to accept.

Considering you never posted on here what your issues were, what your equipment was, and the process you actually tried to follow to downgrade I'm not surprised by your outcome.

Hope it works out for you. It's a more complex path but does allow for more configurations and customisation.

AstroDude42 It is a little unfortunate that ZWO left the word "beta" next to the Logo when you launch the app. It's on the screen where you hit "enter device".

If ASIAIR firmware retrodated to v. 2.3.3. Will other accessories, like EAF, also need to be retrodated?

EAF, CAA and filter wheel, no. CAA was the last accessory added before 2.3.3.
EAF works fine (I have two scopes fitted with these).
CAA works but I disable it because I don't want it doing unwanted rotations.
