    possi Please make the redesigned buttons bigger. Even on a big tablet they are to small.

    You can fine tune that by tapping on Personalize in the ASIAIR Settings window. Then change the display Zoomed factor there.

      possi Possible issue with those cams for the moment, as the A1 and A7R5 are software wise much more difficult to integrate due to their age, as Sony's SDK was a pain to get liscensing for by ZWO aparently, which is why we're JUST getting support right now. I'm not even sure if the R5's been added to the commercial SDK yet.

        So far my experience with v2.1 has been positive! I havent run into any issues so far, no crashes, or anything; albeit setup was a little tedious (Cable issue with my cat munching on my ASI120MM's USB cable).

        ASIair Mini unlocked new capabilities in the A7III that have leveled up my imaging! All 3 of these images are only 10 x 5m at F/7 on the Edge HD 8, Bin x2! in Full-Frame Mode.

        I will be running a test here in a few days to see if you can use the camera in the dual ROI mode while controlled by the ASIair. (APS-C or Full-Frame)




        Only thing to do now is jerry rig my desktop Cooler to the A7's body to rid myself of the aweful thermals that FF mode gives off. (APS-C mode typically stays MUCH cooler)

                    possi "Scan ASIAIR in current network" does not show results when remote connected over VPN. But if you enter the IP manually, it still works (I dont know if its possible to scan remote)

                    possi switch between 2 ASIAIRS could be so much easier and faster when you already display the available ASIAIRs and let the User simply click on them. Then restart the App without request or unnecessary startscreens.

                    When using a VPN, the VPN does not broadcast UDP scan packets. So we can't scan your ASIAIR

                    possi The annoying rotating Startscreens anyway should be disabled by user checkbox (maybe the user can have their own start screen?). Tablet users have to turn their tablets. Especially if the tablet are mount in a fix holder, this is not possible. Forget phones, almost nobody use them.

                    Are you using the iOS 16 version? iOS 16 does seem to have this issue, and we're also waiting for apple to fix it. Do you encounter similar problems with other landscape apps?

                    possi If refocus fails (because of clouds), PLEASE at least go back to the last value and continue shooting.

                    After AF fails, EAF will return to the position before starting AF. However, due to the influence of hysteresis, the real position will not be so accurate.

                    possi Please make an extra button to enter the object database, I use it a lot. In the "best of" collection please make a "best of including fainter objects" available. Please include the the vDB and the Abell catalogue. For the filter criteria please add minimum and maximum size of an object displayed.

                    possi Please use for your planetarium a stronger background image (more and fainter nebula visible) and please make a button to turn off these disturbing constellation signs.

                    Please make user configurable text for the ASIAIR outputs possible (e.g. fan, light, switchbox, observatory shutter, rear heater, front heater, etc.)

                    Make dithering without guiding possible. I use a high quality mount, mostly without guiding.

                    In autorun and plan it would be nice, instead of leave the math to the user, if you simply enter the integration time and the single exposure time. E.g. from "18:00-20:00" or "2 hours".

                    possi For EAF users it would be great if you can bind a default position (maybe also a temperature gradient for users of your thermometer add on) to each filter. Example given: Filter "Halpha" with preset EAF to 45000. Not all filter are homofocal to each other.

                                      Hi PMTeam@ZWO, Sony's latest Camera Remote SDK version 1.07 supports the A1 and A7R5 cameras. Do you have an ETA when you'd be able to update to their latest version internally (assuming that's what you're using)? A lot of us are very excited to finally have support for Sony cameras, we all really appreciate the hard work and support you guys are putting in here.

                                          1. ok, in the case of a VPN connection, you currently have to enter known fixed IPs of the ASIAIRs, it then works like that (the ASIAIR app could still remember the IPs and show the names for selection). In most cases I am in my own network, as most other people are. Buttons for more than one ASIAIR for quick switching (without additional request) would be nice (the app could try the real name first, then the IP address if that doesn't work). Please make switching between ASIAIRs more convenient. I have 4 of them.

                                          2. all my iPads are using iOS V16.2 right now. no one is using the ASIAIR app in portrait mode. So please at least ditch the vertical home screen. Or make it custom to remove all home screens, especially when switching between ASIAIRs.

                                          3. okay, this is a good update. To get rid of the hysteresis effect, just overshoot and always come from the same direction.

                                          4. zoom? Sorry, I didn't see that. Looks good to me. Does it only zoom the UI elements (useful) or does it also zoom the astro image (useless if it cuts off the image)?

                                          5. The filter dependent EAF value should have a difference value to the default filter. If default is 45000 and Halpha is 44400, I need to enter enter -600. This is because most telescopes have a temperature drift, and a new hourly AF value simply get corrected by this value if the filter changes, without new time consuming AF procedure. Also here avoid hysteresis, come always from the same direction. Of course the correction values could also fully automated entries by the ASIAIR, if a EFW is available, this routine would be only one time necessary.

                                          Thanks for considering my suggestions. ASIAIR could be more automated and better, that's the trend.
