PMTeam@ZWO It is indeed on the supported camera list, but it doesn't work with the ASIAir Plus or Mini. The camera will connect to the ASIAir and will download images from the camera, but the ASIAir won't control the camera without a shutter release cable. It says "exposure failure." The problem is with the ASIAir software.

nhmorgan Sony will never work with Asiair, there isn't even official PC driver. Where is ZWO supposed to get the driver from?

One really useful feature would be the ability to perform tilt analysis in the app for adjustments. Since ZWO sells tilt adjuster plates, but there is currently no way to make those adjustments without connecting to a PC.

whereisclouds This is entirely irrelevant, the ASIAir isn't running on Windows. It's most likely using libgphoto2, which does support most Sony mirrorless cameras. With that said, using a remote shutter cable isn't the end of the world and it works just fine with that.

I have a GEM45 mount and it used to work with the USB hub workaround until v2.3. I updated to v2.3 and now it keeps on disconnecting the mount. I tried different USB hubs, tried connecting via ASI2600. Nothing worked. It would connect for few seconds and disconnect randomly. Wouldn’t start tracking. Tried connecting directly to ASIAIR pro, nothing worked. Really frustrating!

Hey ZWO--Been playing with the new firmware for a few days now. Wondering if there is any chance you could add the rotation information to a saved target that could even be used for someone without the new CAA. So that when a user revisits a target or mosaic, the plate solve would also help the user get back to the same frame with that rotation info. Anyhow stoked to see the CAA finally here and looking forward to buying one in the new year.

This update has caused an issue with my mount. It uses a Gemini 2 controller. I can PA with no issues. Then I try to return to home position, but it does not move the mount. A window pops up that says the mount has, successfully, moved to home position within 3 to 5 seconds. When I try to use the goto function, a window pops up and says the mount is moving to the designated target and then says it has successfully moved to the target within 3 to 5 seconds, and the target has been
centered. But again the mount has not moved at all. I can manually control the mount with no issues. Everything worked
fine before this forced update. Any ideas?

SRG Hello, we recommend you try the following: 1) Check your positioning and time to make sure there are no problems; 2) In preview mode, shoot, plate solve and synchronize; 3) Try to click "start" Go Home on the mount settings page；
If you have tried the above operations and GOTO still has problems, please take a screenshot and send us the error log in time, thank you!

SRG your device is what updates the ASIAIR App from the relevant store - not ZWO. Updates aren't forced. You can turn off auto update for the ASIAIR App itself via the Play Store on Android. If on iOS- you can only turn off auto updates for all apps.

The App on your device has to match the firmware on the ASIAIR itself. They're a matched set.

So if the app on your device is newer than the firmware on the ASIAIR you are connecting to - it will update the firmware on the ASIAIR to match the App version on your device.

PMTeam@ZWO I tried powering ASIAIR via GEM45 mount. Also powered directly from the Anker power station. Not sure why power supply matters. Rest everything is connected, mount is powered on throughout the time, I can see the light and can hear the motor running. I have read somewhere that this is a Kernel issue on ASIAIR, is there any timeline on when will it fixed and upgraded?

Corsair yes I read your post. Unfortunately I haven’t made any backup from previous version and I am on Apple ecosystem so can’t do anything for now. Will do it from next update onwards.

Having said that, it’s high time @PMTeam@ZWO takes this as priority and fixes the issue once for all

PMTeam@ZWO Hi again, I confirm - after shooting in Preview mode and plate solving the Mosaic feature works as expected! 🙂 Thanks!
However - it would be great to be able to use the Mosaic for planning the session in advance, say, using one of the images stored on SD card. Is it possible somehow? If I plate solve one of the stored images it doesn't show in the Preview screen, nor is its FOV showing in the planetarium (it was always like this, so I'm not saying it's some sort of a bug - it just would be great to be able to setup Mosaic plans in advance).

@PMTeam@ZWO in the next version please add an option in the settings to move the CAA to zero position after the imaging session is complete. It would be especially useful for users with filter wheels.
