PMTeam@ZWO Yes, Date, Time, Location, and Merdian Flip Settings are all correct. My Merdian flip stops imaging 5 minutes before and does not resume until 5 minutes after the flip.

With today's update (2.4_0613_4(12.20)), temperature doesn't seem quite as stable as on 2.3.3 with the ASIAir Plus and a 2600MC-Duo set to 0C. Not sure if it's good or bad that the flat stretch on the Live page is significantly wider and all black versus 2.3.3. Can't see anything like dust specs or vignetting unless I manually move the sliders even when set to auto stretch. This is the Android app I'm using.

R0k9pZfT I reported the same thing, took my flats indoors and my temp fluctuated wildly while the flats came out solid grey. I had to downgrade to 2.3.3 to get flats to look normal.

About stretching, many times I asked to have a slider for mid tones. This would make it easier

Tonight imaging M16 using autorun the system tried to do meridian flips 3 times. I was more than 3 hours away from the meridian. I sent the logs through the ASIAIR app... this issue makes unattended imaging impossible.

Beta 2.4 (12.20) on iOS, camera 2600MCPro - auto exposure in autorun create solid gray flats.
Manual exposure works.

jsmithsd I had a similar issue ( the CAA refused to rotate until I tried at least 3 times ) and in my case it seems it was caused by the USB Hub or the Camera Hub ( I had to move the guiding camera to the hub because there are no more USB connections available when adding the CAA to the ASIAir ). I have had 3 sessions with the CAA connected to the ASIAir apparently without issues. Still have to make more test to be sure that was the issue.

Seems like mystery about gray flat files is discovered...
Tonight had first chance to get on regular computer and check the files.
Seems like latest (and previous) beta software create gray preview (JPG) files but flats are OK.
But it's annoying bug anyway as you cannot see, what you are doing on field..¨

First of all, I'm sorry that alpaca has brought you some bad experience.
I am the developer of alpaca.
You mentioned that the exposure is 120s. At 60s, NINA stops exposing and starts downloading images. I tested it, but I didn't encounter this situation.
But I found that after the countdown reaches 120s, the downloaded image is completely black. This is indeed a problem. Now I have fixed it.

I've experienced an inconsistent issue with the latest 2.4 release (versoin 12.20). The "detect" function sometimes returns no stars detected, even when I'm looking at a bunch. Tap it again, and it finds plenty. A bit frustrating.

I'm so glad to see autofocus options in Live capture. However, I can't find a way to initiate autofocus if I pause the sequence without actually leaving the Live menu. It would be nice to be able to manually trigger autofocus while capture is paused. Perhaps I'm missing it somewhere?

Something else I just discovered. I like the filter option in the object list, but turning on the FOV filter results in some messed up results. I'm sorry, but M57 is in no way between 20-80% of my FOV of a 2600MC on a 448mm Cat91! more like 2% maybe (if that). In fact, it ended up showing my only very small things like M57 and the blinking planetary. The filtered list was a very short list of tiny things. And going into the object list instead by tapping the big dipper won't let you slew the mount like it did on 2.3.3. I have to use the Preview menu to slew.

And regarding the object list--the old view has much better thumbnails. The new menu shows you more, but the old menu looked more refined and not like it was written in 1990 (like the new one appears)!

Another session last night where my 2600MC Air tried a meridian flip 3.5 hours before the meridian. Was in Autorun and had to cancel the flip. Log sent. Nasty and dangerous bug.

Hi,
I had to update the Asiair a couple of minutes ago. I am on vacation in France. Polar alignment is not working. Sonetines the first image is solved. Then maybe the mount moves, maybe not. If it moves, a picture is taken and after that: nothing happens. Why did you change that???? Polar alignment worked perfect until this update. I am really upset. What can I do to make PA work? After step one, the mount moves, and than the message is: „loading“… nothing else happens… no polar alignment. Seems to me as everything is out of control please let me know how to got back to the previous firmware and work with it. I tried to re-install it but then I had to update, cause otherwise I could not launch the app… catch 22… Ireally like the asiair, until this update, now it does not qork anymore… alex

I don't know if you're on Android or an Apple device. This is not a required update, so to go back to the non-beta on Android, the short version is this:

-On ASIair reset the firmware to the "default"--or the version it shipped with.
-Uninstall the ASIAir app on your device.
-Install the app (ASIair) from the app store and NOT the download in this thread.
-Update the firmware on the ASIair when prompted.

You should now be on the production and not the beta version. At least this is what I've had to do.

Well this is the end of my testing for 2.4! I was running it in Live mode shooting M101 with 120s lights while guiding. All was going well, no meridian flip needed, when suddenly the 120s lights turned into 3s. Log sent.

I am also having problems with flats running in auto mode. The fits files are gray.
